The race is on
Ok so enough is enough. My buddy Bob has been on a roll lately with his blog and to be honest it is really getting to me. So starting today I am just going to have to find a way to if not beat him then at least join him!
He has posted some really impressive stats lately such as breaking the 10K mark at Technorati and has had more than one genius idea for marketing. Yes I am jealous. Yes I will use this jealousy to make my blog better. Now time to get to work.
My challenge to myself is to break 5K before Bob does. Yes I have a long way to go (I am at 19K now) but hey no one said it would be easy. Just have to come up with something spectacular.. hmmm…
So keep checking back and let me know what you think. The race to 5K is on!
(For all those of you who might not know, this is all just a friendly little competition done purely for fun. Bob is a great guy and I am learning more and more from him every day. So don’t panic I am not really out to get Bob.)

Try writing a detailed informative article, put it on squidoo, and send the link to a few well-connected bloggers in your niche for some linkbait. Don’t be too pushy, just suggest it as a possible blog post idea.

Hi, Susan - I will be following the race with interest, too - it is a mighty challenge. I was very impressed (with myself) when I got into the top 100,000, which seems like a very healthy place to be in view of the millions of blogs and bloggers…now I am not so sure….
