Face Behind The Blog

My buddy Bob over of BobMeetsWorld.Com fame tagged me for a meme, and while I try and not participate in these I decided since he thought enough to tag me the least I could do was play along. So here goes…

As many of you know my name is Susan and I work in IT (read major geek). I grew up in a small town in South Carolina and joined the military right out of high school. Four years and LOTS of deployments later I found myself back in the states and looking for something to do with all my free time. Since I got hooked on computers way back when they didn’t even have hard drives only 5 1/4 inch floppies, I thought a computer degree would be cool. Little did I know so many years down the road I would still be going to school with no end in site.

Fast forward several years. While I am in the IT field now, it hasn’t always been that way. I have held jobs working on an airbag assembly line, creating circuit boards, repossessing cars, and a whole host of other things but computers were always my life. I decided to get involved with blogging on a whim really and soon found that it had pretty much taken over my life, but in a good way. Things changed as they often do and my free time got gobbled up by work and other commitments so my blog went into a bit of hibernation and even though I have repeatedly told myself it was time to get back to it I never seem to find the time.

Still, I am going to make a concentrated effort to revive the blog and hopefully this is just the kick in the pants I have been looking for. Oh and if you are at all interested check out JohnCow.Com run by Bob with some contributions from yours truly. Enjoy!

Now to tag some other bloggers…. Sandy Winarkho over at Mysites-Advisor.com and Janie at Here’s Looking At Me, and

Here is what you have to do to participate.

1st thing to do:
Post a short paragraph or series of photos of yourself showing the face behind your blog. If you already show a photo on your blog, then make your post more interesting by choosing a photo that’s not currently online.

2nd thing:
Include links to others that have participated. Here are the ones that have participated so far:

  1. Phil Gerbyshak Says:

Thanks for sharing some more in depth stuff about you. Would you mind sharing a picture too, to really give us a “face” behind the blog?

  2. Damien Says:

    hey! Where’s the pic? :)

  3. Thomas Says:

Don’t forget the 3rd and 4th step. It is important to notify David Airey’s. His blog post The Face Behind the Blog started the meme and he is keeper of the official list.

    3rd step
Tag as many others as you like in your post to spread the meme.
    4th step
If you link back to me here and send me an email. I’ll add you to the list above. This isn’t absolutely necessary but it does help me to keep track of the collection (I have an idea or two for an ultimate blogger showcase).
Each person tagged should create their own post and repeat the process.

Also you should add some pictures so we get a feel for not only who you are but what you look like. Part of the idea behind the meme is to get an idea of what our community members look like to get rid of some of that radio host type mystique. You have an idea of who they are, but not really what they look like.
