Wicked Winds Blog Carnival
In celebration of the 2007 Hurricane season I thought I would start a new blog carnival called Wicked Winds. This isn’t strictly limited to Hurricanes though; I am looking for posts around all those wonderful and terrible weather events that can change the life and the world around us. The current topics include:
- Tornadoes
- Hurricanes
- Severe Thunderstorms
- Flash Floods
- Floods
- Winter Storms
- Special Marine Weather Events
- General

Sounds good, but what is a blog carnival and how do I participate? Great questions! As far as what a blog carnival is I’ll let BlogCarnival.Com explain:
A Blog Carnival is a particular kind of blog community. There are many kinds of blogs, and they contain articles on many kinds of topics. Blog Carnivals typically collect together links pointing to blog articles on a particular topic. A Blog Carnival is like a magazine. It has a title, a topic, editors, contributors, and an audience. Editions of the carnival typically come out on a regular basis (e.g. every Monday, or on the first of the month). Each edition is a special blog article that consists of links to all the contributions that have been submitted, often with the editor’s opinions or remarks.
Now for this particular blog carnival I am the editor and you my dear reader are the audience and hopefully a contributor as well. The carnival will take submissions through Sunday night (midnight EST) and then I will compile, clean up etc. and post the latest version on Monday. Of and you read the part about “editors opinions or remarks†right? Well you know me so you can rest assured there will be lots of opinions and remarks.
Now as far as submitting, well that is really easy as well. Just click on the link below and it will take you to the submission page for the latest edition. I would love to have a really cool icon for this blog carnival, (HINT HINT!) but so far I haven’t found anything that strikes my fancy as they say.
I think that about does it for the introduction. I will be roaming the net and asking authors that have an interesting story to submit so if I tap you on the shoulder (or rather ping you with an email) then I hope you will say yes and submit.
