Blog Stumbling 8 July 07

It has been a bit since I did one of these but I thought today would be a great day for one. So grab your favorite frosty beverage, pull up a comfy chair and get ready to stumble along with me as I explore some new blogs.

We begin our journey today with The Far Corner blog where interestingly enough blotcher is doing the exact same thing, of course he calls his a “Blog Walkabout” but the idea is the same, to discover some new blogs and introduce them to our readers. Unfortunately I am not really sure where blotcher is from but his blog has a UK look and feel so I am going to go with that for now. :)

Moving on we find ourselves at Pro Audio Matrix and the first thing I thought was, “This isn’t a blog!”. Then I took a minute to read it and realized that it is indeed a blog, just one that looks different than I as a stumbler am use to seeing. So when you click on the link, don’t automatically click off, read for a few seconds first. There are some interesting posts if you are willing to look for them. Kudos for his unique vision of how a blog should look and the willingness to do something different.

Ahhh and on to Hippie Spelunker. What attracted me to this blog was the name, I admit it. I just had to see what a Hippie Spelunker would blog about because I knew it had to be interesting and I wasn’t disappointed. Word of warning though, the color scheme is very hippie like, bright purple and green, lots of colors but it works!

Next stop, Big Oak and this is so not what I was thinking it was going to be. Big Oak is actually a really nice SEO blog and definitely worth the click to check it out. Shell Harris has put together a top notch site and I grabbed the feed just to make sure I don’t miss anymore SEO tips.

Onward! Another SEO blog, this one is called Expert Search Engine Optimization - SEO Blog. No matter how many SEO blogs I read I am always learning things. This particular post was on the ethical dilemma of linking to your site from a client’s site. Read the post to see where the commentators come out and leave a comment of your own.

To Jim’s! Jim Boykin’s Blog that is. This blog has an excellent post on Internal link that everyone who blogs should read immediately. Be warned it is long and has all sorts of things to make us non-SEO guru’s heads spin but take your time, read through it and then apply what you learn. Your site will be better for it.

John Andrew’s blog is another must read for those of us who want to learn about SEO or even just make what we have a bit better. He has a really nice post on Domainers that will give you a look inside this interesting and powerful world.

The Search Engine Journal is another great find for today. The post on Link Building & Determining Link Quality has some excellent points and it is definitely on my must read closer list.

SEO By The Sea had a post on using Wikipedia to differentiate between the multitudes of people out there using the same name. That is a boiled down version, read the post to understand exactly what is trying to be accomplished.

SEO Buzz Box a debate around whether or not more human editors would help get rid of single owners with multiple domains holding keywords ransom, sort of. :)

Clicknewz has a really nice article for those who are looking to market something for a quick profit online. Another great blog I am adding to my feed list.

Essential Keystrokes is worth a visit if for no other reason than the 164 Essential Tools for Online Success post. Fortunately you will find way more than that when you check out the blog so what are you waiting for?

Final stop for today is the Writing Whitepapers blog. Now I have never written a whitepaper I admit it, but after reading a bit of this blog I think I could certainly give it a go. If you have ever wondered about such things take a look.

Alright that does it for today. I hope you enjoyed this stumble and check back often for more.
